Garden visitor, White-tailed deer

Had a garden visiter a few days ago a White-tailed deer.

  1. Do all of the deer in your area have that much white on the legs? I don't recall seeing that much on the deer here in Wisconsin.

  2. There is some variation down here because I imagine southern Illinois is where 3 different subspecies overlap, because the only thing separating them is the Mississippi and Ohio rivers and they can swim so they have probably all interbred with each other around here, the white is more visible too because this was the summer coat. I googled some pics and I noticed the deer here do look kinda different than the deer in wisconsin.
